A new local shop called Nostaglia had an isty bitsy blooper outside on their window. I won a sample of La Craie paint in Colette by finding the mistake! It was definitely one of the colors I was hoping for. It’s a new shade and a beautiful blue. I had an old shelf my mom made years ago under my bed collecting dust.
Dingy and Yellowish ( and please excuse my filthy door and rug!!)
I felt this was just the size for the amount of paint I had. And I still have some left over for a frame for two.
I’m so pretty now!!
I believe it will go in my youngest daughters room. It will probably hold stuffed animals, and little dolls, maybe some small books too.
P.S. Check out Nostalgia! I have been so inspired by their owners Debbie of RefreshRestyle and Jamie of Southern Revivals.
I have had this lamp sitting around in this corner or that, lonely, collecting dust. Rather bronzy in color and a taupe-ish shade.
So I decided to paint it for my daughters bedroom.
Lots of nooks and crannies to get into.
And I couldn’t decide to buy a new shade or try to paint (eeekk) the one I had. I went for it!
I just used acrylic paint for the shade. I really didn’t know if it would work but it did. I think it turned out pretty cute.
It went from a drab, dusty corner to a teenagers nightstand- all pink and perky!
I bought this little caddy at a local shop.
A better paintbrush brush would have helped. Not perfect by any means.
It was a cute little wood tote with cubby dividers. Perfect for pencils, paintbrushes, markers…..whatever you wish! I painted the number 2 on with chalk paint, then painted over it with milk paint. Then sanded lightly to bring the 2 out. Wahlah!
Valentine’s Day is over. I know. But nevertheless I wanted to share some crafts we did. I won’t share the huge messes we made.

And this. Oh yes. I won it!! I entered a food photo contest called Food Crush at EarthFare and won. This was so awesome for Valentine’s Day! My husband got away scott free this year.
